“Can We Fix It?“ is the name of the theme song, written by Paul K. Joyce, from the children’s television programme Bob the Builder, produced by Hot Animation. The title is derived from the main character’s catchphrase, a query towards the rest of the cast when presented with a challenge. The chorus of the song features this phrase prominently, as well as the standard response: “Yes we can!“ “Can We Fix It?“ became a Christmas number one single in 2000 beating Westlife’s “What Makes a Man” making their first single to fail at the #1 spot and was the biggest selling single of the year, appearing 80th in the all-time UK best-sellers list, and it also reached number one in Australia in 2001.
