“Sleeping with the Light On” is a song by British pop rock band Busted. It was recorded in 2002 for their debut album Busted, and later released as its fourth single, in August 2003, when it reached number 3 on the UK Singles Chart. It was the first song James Bourne and Matt Jay wrote together. The song was remixed for release as a single; the first chorus is more forceful than on the album version. This “New Version” was also used for its music video. Among the single B-sides were an non-album track, “Last Summer”; a medley of Busted’s first three singles (also performed on cd:uk); and a live recording of fans singing the chorus. The song was performed on Blue Peter, , Popworld and Top of the Pops Saturday’‘.
