Tropico is American rock singer Pat Benatar’s sixth album, released in 1984. It peaked at #14 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and produced the Top-10 hit “We Belong”. Additional well-known songs from the album were “Painted Desert”, “Outlaw Blues” and “Ooh Ooh Song” (also a Top-40 hit), a Spanish version of which appeared on her 1999 compilation, Synchronistic Wanderings. The album went on to sell more than a million copies. During the filming of the video for the single “Painted Desert”, Benatar and husband Neil Giraldo discovered they were expecting their first child.
