“So Far Away” is one of the songs written by Carole King and recorded for her 1971 album Tapestry. The recording features James Taylor on acoustic guitar. In the 1995 album Tapestry Revisited, it was covered by Rod Stewart. The song was also covered by Tina Arena on her 2007 album Songs of Love & Loss. In 2002 Reba McEntire sang the song on her hit TV series Reba. In 2008, drummer Russ Kunkel and the group Chateau Beach covered the song from their album “Rivage.“ In the Philippines, Bamboo also revived the song “So Far Away” from their 3rd album, “We Stand Alone Together” released in 2007.
