“Still D.R.E.“ was released on October 13, 1999 as the lead single from Dr Dre’s second multi-platinum studio album, The Chronic 2001. The song, written by Jay-Z, features vocals from Snoop Dogg on the intro, chorus and outro. The song sold over 4,000,000 copies and was eventually certified 4x Platinum by RIAA. The single was popular, helping the album reach multi-platinum status, announcing Dre’s return to the forefront of the hip-hop scene. “Still D.R.E.“ debuted at number 93 on the Billboard Hot 100.
