“Who Knows Where the Time Goes?“ is a song written by the English folk-rock singer and songwriter Sandy Denny. The song was originally recorded by Denny privately in 1967, and again, only accompanied by herself on guitar (and a string section, both versions, with and without strings, were released by now), for the All Our Own Work recordings (with the Strawbs). It is best known in the version sung by Denny on the Fairport Convention album Unhalfbricking. In 2007, the Unhalfbricking version was voted “Favourite Folk Track Of All Time” by listeners of BBC Radio 2. This version was used as the closing music in the film Don’t Worry About Me (2009).
