It struck West that he really wanted to be married and have a family, but it hadn’t worked out for him. The song serves as the introductory track within his fourth studio album, 808s & Heartbreak. It features then-newly signed GOOD Music artist Kid Cudi, and was co-produced by West with Jeff Bhasker and Plain Pat.
