“State of Shock” is a 1984 hit single by The Jacksons featuring frontman Michael Jackson and Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger. It was written by Jackson and guitarist Randy Hansen. “State of Shock” charted number 3 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number 14 on the UK Singles Chart. The track was originally conceived by Jackson and Queen frontman Freddie Mercury; however neither Mercury or Jackson could find the time to finish the track and so Mercury suggested Michael should find somebody else with whom to do the track, the end result being Mick Jagger.
