“Dry Your Eyes” is a UK garage song written by English rapper The Streets for his second album A Grand Don’t Come for Free (2004). The song describes the persona trying to cope with his girlfriend breaking up with him. It was released as the album’s second single on July 19, 2004 (see 2004 in music). The song is The Streets’ most successful single, reaching number one in the United Kingdom on July 25, 2004, six days after its release. “Dry Your Eyes” also went straight to number one in Ireland staying there for three weeks in a row.
