“Side of a Bullet” is Nickelback’s seventh and final single from the album All The Right Reasons, as announced on ultimate-guitar.com. The song was released only to U.S. rock stations. Wal-Mart’s Tod Sterling has described the song as “the heaviest cut on the album.“ The song is a tribute song to Dimebag Darrell who was shot on stage while performing in Columbus, Ohio. The lyrics for “Side of a Bullet” focus on the murder of Darrell and the aftermath therof. It takes place in an alternative universe where the murderer is still alive and Chad Kroeger is planning his revenge. The guitar solo is by Dimebag from the Far Beyond Driven era.
