Olav Basoski (born October 14 1968) is a Dutch DJ/remixer from Haarlem, Netherlands, where he was born and raised. Basoski, whose family heritage traces back to Poland and is the descendant of a Polish soldier, has been a DJ since the age of 15 and has amassed more than 200 recordings under different aliases as well as remixes for various artists like Moby, Mirwais and Phats & Small. With Erick E he founded the record label WORK. In 2005 Basoski teamed up with UK Dancehall artist Michie One to record “Waterman,“ a remake of the famous Dancehall classic “Bam Bam” (originally recorded by Sister Nancy), which is becoming a major hit in the United States at both clubs and radio, where it debuted at number 22 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Airplay chart in its March 27, 2006 issue.
