“Caroline” is a single released by the British Rock band Status Quo in 1973. It was included on the album Hello!. It was written by Bob Young and Francis Rossi on a table napkin in the dining room of a hotel in Perranporth, Cornwall, in 1970. Initially a slower piece, it became their first top 5 hit. In October 1982 a live version was released. Rossi re-recorded the song for his 2010 solo album One Step at a Time. Electronic group Apollo 440 used the intro riff of “Caroline” as the main sample in their 1999 single “Stop The Rock”. Read on...
