“Work It Out” is a funk song recorded by American R&B singer–songwriter Beyoncé Knowles for the soundtrack to the 2002 film Austin Powers in Goldmember, in which Knowles starred as Foxxy Cleopatra. Written by Knowles, Pharrell Williams, and Chad Hugo and released as a single in June 2002, it missed the Billboard Hot 100 but managed to peak at number eleven on Billboards Hot Dance Club Play chart. It was a relative hit in European countries such as the United Kingdom and Norway, where it reached numbers seven and three, respectively. The music video for the single was directed by Matthew Rolston. The song was later included on non-U.S. editions of Knowles’ debut solo album, Dangerously in Love. The song has been certified Gold by Recording Industry Of Norway. Read on...
