The Force Behind the Power is a 1991 album, released by Diana Ross on the Motown label. Featuring production from the likes of James Anthony Carmichael who used to work with The Commodores and Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder and Peter Asher, the album saw Ross moving in a more adult contemporary direction. The album yielded the top 40 R&B ballad, “When You Tell Me That You Love Me”, which also made UK #2. Although the album was not as successful in the USA, it was a double platinum hit (600,000 copies sold) in the U.K. and yielded 5 top 40 hits, including the second UK Top 10 single from the album, “One Shining Moment”, which made UK #10.
