“One and One” is a 1996 song by Swiss dance artist Robert Miles. The third single released from his debut album Dreamland, One and One became Miles’ second #1 hit on December 7, 1996 when it topped the US Billboard Dance chart. Originally written for Polish leading female artist Edyta Górniak who included the original version of it on her international debut album Edyta, this release features English singer Maria Nayler.
Miles is known by some collectors of CD singles for the quotes he includes on his jewel case inserts, succinct expressions of what he was attempting to communicate in writing and producing the song. Of One and One Miles wrote:
