“The Unforgettable Fire” is the fourth track on U2’s 1984 album of the same name and was released as the album’s second single. The song was inspired by an art exhibition of the same name by victims of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The song became the band’s third Top 10 hit in the UK, peaking at #6 on the UK singles chart and #8 on the Dutch singles chart, but it was yet to break them in the U.S..
